About Kim Dushinski…
Hi!
My name is Kim Dushinski and I have been a scrapbooker since 1993 when I created my first scrapbook page about our German Shepherd puppy, Rudi. I have been working on the Internet since 1995 when I built my first website. ScrappinCabinet is the first blend of these two passions of mine.

After my first scrapbooking page I had quite a few years without doing any other pages. When my daughter was born in 1996 I picked up my photo splits again and focused my efforts on creating pages to give to her grandparents.

When I realized that all my efforts were being passed along to my parents and my in-laws, I recruited my mom to the hobby so she could build her own pages and started sending my in-laws just plain photos (they actually prefer that to album pages anyway - go figure).

Now I have a small scrapbook room I share with my daughter who has also taken up cropping - maybe just to spend more time with me - and she is quite good. My mom scrapbooks way more than I do and has devoted her basement to the cause. My mother-in-law has taken up watercolor painting and still keeps her photos outside of albums.

I live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado with my husband and our daughter. We currently don’t have any dogs (Rudi and his big sister Kady have made their way to doggie heaven) but we do have a black bear hamster that my husband calls “The Rat.”
